best camera and lens setup for YOUR budget

english photography gear photography tips

When it comes to buying camera gear, having a budget doesn't mean you have to compromise on quality. In this blog post, I'll be sharing some options for camera and lens setups depending on your budget and what you plan on shooting.

First, let's talk about cameras. If you're on a tight budget, I recommend the Canon M50 Mark II. This camera is not only affordable at $599 for the body alone, but it's also very user-friendly and great for beginners. If you have a bit more to spend, you can get the version that comes with a kit lens for $699.

Now, let's talk about lenses. If you're planning on photographing people, the Canon EFM 22mm F2 lens is a great option. This lens is priced at $249 and it's perfect for portraits, street photography, and group shots. If you're photographing your kids playing sports outdoors, I recommend the Canon EFM 55-200mm zoom lens, which is priced at $349.

Additionally, I've left some room in your budget for a flash. The Canon EL100 flash is only $149 and it's a great investment if you plan on photographing indoors. This flash will give you more flexibility and allow you to create beautiful, professional-looking portraits.

If your budget is around $1,000, you can get the Canon M50 Mark II body, the Canon EFM 22mm F2 lens, and the Canon EL100 flash for a total of $997. If you go with the zoom lens instead, your total will be slightly over $1,100.

If you have a bigger budget of $1,500, I recommend getting the Canon EFM 32mm 1.4 lens. This lens is perfect for portraits and it has a beautiful blurry background.

For a professional gear list under $2,500, I recommend the Canon R10 body, the Canon RF 50mm lens, and the EF 135mm lens. These lenses are versatile and great for different types of photography. Additionally, I recommend getting a used ProPhoto A1 flash for around $679.

If you have a budget of $5,000, I recommend the Canon R6 body, the Canon RF 50mm lens, the Canon RF 85mm F2 lens, and a used EF 135mm F2 lens. These lenses are perfect for portrait photography and will give you beautiful results. Additionally, I recommend getting a used ProPhoto A1 flash.

In conclusion, no matter what your budget is, there are great camera and lens options available for you. Whether you're just starting out or you're a professional photographer, investing in quality gear will ensure that you get the best results possible. So, do your research, consider buying used gear, and happy shooting!
